Sickness and diarrhoea

Just to reiterate the 48 hour rule.  A child must not come back to school until 48 hours after their last bout of sickness or diarrhoea.  This advice has been given by the Department of Communicable Diseases.

Chickenpox

Fever cold symptoms, fluid filled itchy blisters, children must stay at home until blisters are crusted over.

Conjunctivitis

Red, sore, or discharge from eyes this may be a bacterial infection.

Head Lice

Eggs or louse found in hair treatment needed.  Wash the hair using a preparation from the chemist or the clinic free of charge treatment must be given before child can return to group.  Repeat the treatment one week later.  This second treatment is essential even if no head lice are found.  Could children with long hair, please have it tied back.

Threadworms

This will require a treatment from the doctor or chemist.  Symptoms include an extremely itchy bottom, particularly at night.
